While Adult Swim revealed Rick and Morty Season 8's premiere date on April Fool's Day, rest assured that the news is no joke.

Rick and Morty returns May 25, and to celebrate, Adult Swim also released a distinctly Easter-themed first look (along with an actual live-action April Fool's Day special).

In the teaser, Rick (voiced by Ian Cardoni) and Morty (voiced by Harry Belden) find themselves in what Morty calls a "Wicker Man looking place," full of burning bunny effigies and people in robes and rabbit masks. Apparently, this is German Easter.

The pair discover a foreboding stained glass window of a terrifying Easter bunny-human hybrid, which hides a massive alien Easter egg. Also on the hunt for the egg? Space Christians, who don't take kindly to Rick and Morty's presence. Cue a scanning standoff (and some choice insults by Rick).

Rick and Morty Season 8 premieres May 25 at 11 p.m. ET on Adult Swim, and streams on Max and Hulu Sept. 1.
