Map bonus rewards are earned for completing events and other activities in PvE maps. Each explorable map has its own reward track. Reward tracks are account-based, and all characters on an account can contribute to them. Points are awarded for each event completed in a map based on participation.

Map Bonus Boost: Gain map bonuses 3-10% faster. Map Bonus Rate Increase is a guild enhancement consumable offered to guild members to increase map bonus track points gained. Purchasing another guild enhancement will replace its effect.

World completion requires map-completing all the following zones: All six cities. The 25 explorable zones of Central Tyria, excluding Southsun Cove and zones in the Maguuma Wastes (Dry Top and The Silverwastes).

The Character selection screen displays the percentage world completion for each character. Both the world completion and zone completion for the current character are displayed using the world map (M key). These both include a progress bar displaying the percentage completed.
