Strength:

Great value for the money. Good ride quality. Snappy on acceleration and nice semi aero profile.

Weakness:

Significant wheel deflection under power. Truing only lasts about half a season under pretty good conditions.

Wheelset offers a nice blend of perfomance and quality at a low price. Expect that at the price point you will not get the top quality weight and stiffness characteristics of carbon wheelsets and aluminum clinchers over $750 or $1,000.

Strength:

Just about everything

Weakness:

Cheesy decals

What can I say about these hoops? Lets see; I weigh in at 230lbs, I use them for everything, I've had them for four years (they came on my Schwinn FastBack Team), they have over 9000 miles and for the first time last week I noticed a small play in the cassette body. I called Easton and in two days I had an new cassette body ($25), slaped it on and looking forward to another 9000 miles. Never had a need to true the rim nor have I replaced any spokes.

Strength:

Light, and yet strong enough to hold a 200lb rider. They stay true. The best set of wheels for a budget price that you can think of.

Weakness:

Snobs will turn their noses up at you for not spending three times the price on a set of boutique wheels.

Bought these on special plus a coupon when Bike Nashbar was clearing them from their inventory. I've used them for three years, and logged around 4,000 miles on them. Have only needed to true them once. These are well-built wheels.

Strength:

Solid feel. Stiff but forgiving on rough sections. Quiet freehub. Look great! Bearings are some of the smoothest I've felt.

Weakness:

A little out of true in the back after 2 easy rides.

I've ridden these wheels about a dozen times so far. Only about 200 miles put on them and relatively easy miles at that. All in all I love them. The rear is a little out of true..about 1mm. This happened after the first couple of rides. I didn't hit anything and I rode easy as I was recovering from knee surgery. So that was slightly disappointing. I'm sure its a new wheelset issue..and with a little truing they'll be fine for 1000s of miles. Relatively light, though slighly more than stated. Reasonably stiff for how i ride..no racing..just training. And, seem to climb very well.

Strength:

Bombproof, quiet hubs, not too expensive, look nice

Weakness:

None really. The Velomax came with too many decals??

I have the Velomax Circuit wheels which are the same as the Eastons. I have found them to be excellent wheels. I have hit innumerable potholes at speed, and they never went out of true. The hubs are still like new, and the rear hub is very quiet which I really like.I would recommend these to anyone who wants a tough set of reasonably light wheels for every day training.

Strength:

cost, weight, speed

Weakness:

freehub

I would agree with most of the previous reviews that these wheels stay true and are very strong except for one thing. The free hub. Mine has broken after just six months. I took it apart and it looks like a small keeper ring that holds the pawls in place has broken. Probably won't cost much to fix if I can find the part but still just six months! I noticed one other reviewer had a similar problem so maybe this is an issue with these.

Strength:

Think of all the qualities you want in a road wheel, apply a dose of common sense and you've got the Circuit. Light, strong, attractive, easy to maintain, extremely durable and a great value, even at mfg's suggested retail.

Weakness:

None that I've found.

The best all around wheel on the market. Beautifully engineered. Solidly built.
No worries wheels. They have carried my 210 lb., 6' 2", 60 year old butt 12,200 + miles (two years) with only minor touchups at the beginning of each season.

Strength:

Unbelievably good all round wheels and extremely strong.

Weakness:

Replacing the T3 spokes is not straightforward. If your lbs doesn't carry them it helps to have spares. Also: I have never had to deal with Easton's customer service but I never seem to hear anything good about it...

Very sorry to hear that these wheels are going out of production. I have found them to be fast and bombproof. I am hard on equipment and have ridden these wheels down from 250lbs to 220lbs over 3500 miles, slamming into innumerable potholes in the process. I did manage to break a spoke once but that was as the result of a crash. There are faster more expensive wheels out there but they tend to be less robust and/or overly specialized -- I don't have the time or the inclination to run a fleet of wheels for each and every occasion! If you want a decent set of "do it all" wheels, Circuits are hard to beat.

Strength:

very fast and strong rims

Weakness:

rear hub

These wheels are fast without any doubt. If you are strong you can detach any body from your rear well. However, just after 3 months of a decent use the rear hub felt apart.

Strength:

Roll great, look good, and hold up over any of the bumps the road came give them.

Weakness:

could be a little lighter but for the money they are great

Great wheels they roll great and appear to be fairly fast. They hard holdin up really well and have stayed true. I ave hit some huge holes due to the beginning or construction season and the wheels have just taken them without flinching.
